Abstract: A method of producing a single-serving tea pellet is disclosed. The method comprises providing 2.5 to 3.0 g of CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) tea granules derived from Camellia sinensis, subjecting the tea granules or blend to controlled oxidation in a Continuous Fermenting Machine (CFM), optionally blending 2.5 to 3.0 g of oxidized tea granules with 200 to 400 mg of one or more herbal ingredients, and mechanically compressing the oxidized material at a force ranging from 8 kN to 15 kN to form a self-supporting pellet without synthetic binders, adhesives, or excipients. The pellet may be formed in various geometric shapes and packaged in a sealed or vacuum sealed moisture and oxygen-barrier package. The disclosed method provides a standardized single-serving tea product suitable for handling, storage, transportation, and brewing.
