Abstract: The present invention is related to a graph-based crop water stress propagation system for predicting and propagating crop water stress across interconnected sensor zones in smart farm networks. the invention farm is modeled as a weighted directed graph G (V, E), where nodes represent IoT sensor zones (100) and edges encode hydrological connectivity (102). Phase 1 applies Dynamic Time Warping (103) to compare real-time soil moisture, temperature, and humidity data against healthy reference trajectories, flagging stressed source nodes. Phase 2 uses a modified Dijkstra algorithm (104) to propagate stress signals with severity decay across edges, while Breadth-First Search temporal layering (105) estimates arrival times at downstream nodes. The system outputs spatiotemporal stress propagation maps (107), enabling proactive irrigation decisions (108, 109, 110). Simulations across 5–100 nodes demonstrate detection accuracy of 0.91–0.97 and runtime of 12–312 ms, confirming scalability and real-time feasibility. The invention uniquely addresses multi-zone stress detection and propagation, reducing irrigation lag and improving water management efficiency in precision agriculture.
