MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611081546 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu on July 02, 2026, for A Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Power Conversion System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Aman Kumar; Hemant Kumar Verma; Vivek Nandan Lal; and Rajeev Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a grid-connected photovoltaic power conversion system (100) comprising a photovoltaic array (101), an isolated single active bridge (SAB) converter (122), a high-frequency transformer (106), a rectifier including a plurality of diodes (107, 108, 109, 110), a hybrid DC-link capacitor (111) including at least one film capacitor and at least one ceramic capacitor, a three-phase voltage source inverter (123), a grid interface (121), and a plurality of voltage and current sensing units (120, 118). The high-frequency transformer (106) provides galvanic isolation and voltage transformation between the photovoltaic array (101) and the inverter (123). The SAB converter (122) executes a modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO)-based maximum power point tracking protocol, performs sensorless DC-link estimation using acquired electrical parameters, and generates switching signals using a modified segmented switching frequency control (MSSFC) scheme to reduce switching losses while ensuring efficient, reliable, and stable grid operation under balanced and unbalanced grid conditions.
