The system 100 further comprises a device identification unit 106 configured to determine device identity, device type, communication profile, authorization status, a transfer monitoring unit 108 configured to monitor data-transfer activity and command activity, and a transfer sensitivity evaluation unit 110 configured to determine a sensitivity level of incoming data or outgoing data. The system 100 further comprises an interface security policy memory 112 configured to store peripheral control rules, and a transfer control unit 114 configured to enforce a selected control action at the peripheral interface unit 102 before completion of a data-transfer or command communication event.
