Abstract: The present invention relates to a herbal gel formulation and a method for preparation thereof. The formulation comprises curcumin and aloe vera extract dispersed in a hydrophilic polymeric gel base comprising Poloxamer 407 and Carbomer 974P. Curcumin is solubilized using propylene glycol and Polysorbate 80 to enhance its bioavailability and skin penetration, while aloe vera extract provides antimicrobial and wound healing properties. The formulation exhibits synergistic antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. The invention further discloses a method for preparation of the gel and its use in treating minor wounds, cuts, burns, and skin infections. The formulation provides a safe, effective, and plant-based alternative to conventional topical antimicrobial products.
