MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611080720 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on June 30, 2026, for A Heterogeneous Fenton Catalyst And A Process For The Preparation Thereof.
Inventors include Alappat, Babu Johny; and Venu, Devika.

Abstract: The disclosed heterogeneous Fenton catalyst includes a carbonaceous char derived from jackfruit peel biomass and waste tyre material in a predetermined weight ratio. Iron species are doped onto the carbonaceous char to form the heterogeneous Fenton catalyst suitable for degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater.
