Abstract: A hybrid multi-agent agentic artificial intelligence framework is disclosed for complex decision-making applications. The framework comprises a plurality of specialised artificial intelligence agents coordinated by an orchestration layer that decomposes a received task into a dependency graph of subtasks and allocates each subtask to an appropriate agent based on domain-specific capability matching. A dynamic memory management module maintains short-term working memory scoped to the current task and long-term episodic and semantic memory spanning multiple tasks, with consolidation and decay mechanisms resolving conflicts between newly acquired and stored information. A tool orchestration module selects, validates, and invokes external computational tools subject to schema validation and confirmation constraints for high-consequence actions. An autonomous planning module dynamically revises the subtask dependency graph in response to unexpected outcomes, while a self-reflection module iteratively evaluates agent outputs against factual accuracy, logical consistency, completeness, and constraint-compliance criteria, triggering correction where errors are detected. A verification module and an audit and traceability module together support reliable, auditable, explainable decision- making across long-horizon, multi-domain tasks.
