The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a manual drilling tool (100) configured to perform mechanically controlled diameter-selective drilling operation. The manual drilling tool (100) comprises a frame (102), a spindle (104), a handle (106), an axially movable sleeve (108), and a spring-loaded locking assembly (110). The spindle (104) is configured to receive and rotate a step drill bit (10), while the axially movable sleeve (108) is configured for axial sliding movement relative to the frame (102). The spring-loaded locking assembly (110) selectively locks the axially movable sleeve (108) at indexed positions corresponding to selectable drilling diameters. During drilling operation, contact between the axially movable sleeve (108) and a workpiece (12) establishes a rigid mechanical stop configured to prevent further axial advancement of the spindle (104), thereby enabling accurate and repeatable drilling diameter control during manual drilling operation.
