Abstract: The present invention is related to a manually propelled supportive tricycle for children with poor postural control. This pediatric mobility and rehabilitation device, specifically a manually propelled supportive tricycle designed for children aged approximately 5–12 years with neuromuscular disabilities and poor head, neck, and trunk control. The invention provides a stable, upright seating system integrated within a three-wheeled tricycle frame, enabling safe mobility without requiring active pedalling by the child. The tricycle comprises a lightweight metal frame, a contoured HDPE moulded seat with cushioning for pelvic alignment, an adaptive head and neck support with adjustable strapping, and a trunk restraint mechanism to prevent forward flexion. Mobility is achieved through caregiver-assisted manual propulsion and steering, reducing physical strain on caregivers. Large-diameter wheels and increased ground clearance ensure stability and usability on uneven terrain. The device combines rehabilitative postural support with a non-clinical, child-friendly tricycle appearance, promoting social inclusion. The invention is low-cost, easy to maintain, and suitable for therapeutic, educational, and community mobility applications.
