Abstract: ABSTRACT A Marine-Derived Cosmeceutical Serum with Porphyra-334 and Extracellular Polysaccharides for UV Protection and Skin Hydration The present invention provides a novel marine-derived cosmeceutical face serum comprising Porphyra-334, a mycosporine-like amino acid obtained from marine algae, and extracellular polysaccharides (EPS) derived from marine sources in an optimized oil-in-water (O/W) gel-serum base. The synergistic formulation simultaneously delivers natural UV photoprotection, potent antioxidant and anti-pollution activity, prevention of photoaging, collagen protection, and intensive long-lasting skin hydration with superior barrier function. Prepared through systematic optimization of eight batches (F1-F8) and validated for pH, viscosity, spreadability, stability, antioxidant activity, UV absorbance (290-400 nm), and non-irritant profile, the lightweight, non-greasy, fast-absorbing serum is suitable for all skin types and daily use. The invention offers a safe, natural, multifunctional alternative to synthetic cosmetic products and represents a significant advancement in marine-based “blue beauty” cosmeceuticals with high commercial potential.
