Abstract: ABSTRACT 5 Title: “A MECHANISM FOR OPERATING A WINDOWPANE OF A VEHICLE AND A DOOR ASSEMBLY THEREOF” The present disclosure discloses mechanism for operating a windowpane of a vehicle and a door assembly (200). The mechanism (100) includes a slider (1) to accommodate a sliding pane (203) coupled to the windowpane (202) and a first 10 guide (3). The mechanism (100) includes a torque wheel (6) defined with a cavity (62) to receive an actuator (7) and to rotate upon triggering of the actuator (7). The torque wheel (6) is configured to displace from a first position to a second position relative to the ratchet (9) to disengage the plurality of teeth (91) from the ratchet (9) for rotation of the torque wheel (6) and displacement of the sliding pane (203). With 15 such configuration, the door assembly (200) and the mechanism (100) may reduce the effort required by the passenger to raise or lower the sliding pane (203) of the windowpane (202) to open and close the window. 20 Figure 1 is a representative figure.
