Abstract: The present invention relates to a medication dispensing system and a method thereof. The system includes a dispensing unit with a plurality of medication compartments, each equipped with an associated actuator and sensor. A control unit, utilizing a real-time clock (RTC) module, triggers a notification module at a predetermined time to alert a user via visual, audio, or voice signals. Access to medication is strictly governed by a mandatory physical confirmation input from a user input device, which signals the control unit to activate a first actuator to open a first compartment. To prevent dosing errors, the control unit employs interlocking logic that prevents the activation of a second actuator until a signal from the first sensor confirms the first compartment has been closed. A communication module transmits time-stamped logs of dispensing events to a cloud server, which is configured to notify a pre-authorized remote device in the event of a missed dose.
