Abstract: A METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING AN OCCURRENCE OF COBBLES IN A ROLLING MILL ABSTRACT The disclosure relates to a method of determining an occurrence of cobbles in a rolling mill (104) is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a value corresponding to 5 each of plurality of predefined parameters associated with a rolling mill (104), at each predefined time intervals of a time period. Further, the method comprises determining an error value corresponding to at least one predefined parameter from the plurality of predefined parameters, based on the value and a forecast value, at a respective predefined time interval. Furthermore, the method 10 comprises identifying an anomaly value corresponding to the at least one predefined parameter, at the respective predefined time intervals, based on the error value and a predefined threshold. Thereafter, the method comprises determining a probability of occurrence of cobbles at the time period, based on a number of predefined time intervals associated with the anomaly value and a predefined anomaly threshold. 15
