MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641081872 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology on July 02, 2026, for A Method And A System For Optimizing Operations Of A Unified Memory For An Input Computation Procedure.

Inventors include Soumik Kumar Basu; and Jyothi Vedurada.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a method (500) for optimizing operations of a unified memory for an input computation procedure. The method (500) includes analyzing the computational procedure to determine that a portion of data in the input computational procedure written by a processor at a program point is to be accessed by another processor amongst the at least two processors. The method (500) includes identifying that a transfer of data is required amongst the at least two processors based upon the determination. The method (500) includes moving automatically the one or more insertion points to a common loop of the at least two processors in the input computational procedure. The method (500) includes identifying size of the data to be transferred amongst the at least two processors. The method (500) includes inserting the data at the one or more insertion points in the input computational procedure with a computed direction and the size, optimizing the operations of the unified memory for the input computational procedure.
