Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR SMART WATER QUALITY SURVEILLANCE AND CONTAMINATION ALERT GENERATION The present disclosure relates to a system and method for smart water quality surveillance and contamination alert generation. The system comprises a water-quality monitoring unit having a plurality of sensors configured to acquire water-quality information associated with one or more water sources, including pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, microbial indicators, chemical contaminants, and heavy-metal concentrations. A processor and a contamination analytics engine analyze the acquired information to detect contamination conditions, classify contamination types, determine contamination severity levels, predict contamination trends, and assess contamination propagation characteristics using artificial intelligence and machine-learning techniques. An alert generation unit generates adaptive contamination alerts, contamination reports, predictive forecasts, and mitigation recommendations according to the determined contamination severity and predicted environmental impact. A communication module facilitates transmission of alerts and analytical information to user devices, monitoring stations, environmental authorities, treatment facilities, and emergency-response systems. The disclosed invention enables real-time water-quality surveillance, proactive contamination detection, predictive environmental assessment, improved resource management, and timely contamination-response operations.
