Abstract: A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BUILDING A STATE OF HEALTH (SOH) PREDICTION MODEL FOR A BATTERY Disclosed herein is method and system for building a SOH prediction model for a battery, is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a dataset comprising gas emission data from at least one QD sensor and performance data of at least one battery cell of battery. Then, processing dataset to derive at least one feature indicative of performance of battery and to predict states of concentration of at least one type of gas and at least one parameter. Further building SOH prediction model to predict degradation of at least one component of at least one battery cell based on processed dataset and to compute a SOH of battery cell in relation to degradation of at least one component. The building includes training SOH prediction model to correlate concentration of at least one type of gas and at least one battery parameter based on derived at least one feature and predicted states.
