Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for intelligent email classification, automated deadline extraction, and proactive reminder generation using natural language processing. The method comprises the following steps: fetching email from authenticated email account; analysing email subject; sender and content using an NLP engine; categorizing incoming emails into different categories automatically as follows: Opportunities, Deadlines and Actions, Learning and Events, and General categories; computing a priority score based on deadline proximity, sender credibility and email importance; generating a unified action dashboard; automatically providing reminders at 48 hours, 24 hours and 2 hours before deadlines; and automatically creating calendar events for detected deadlines with information obtained from respective emails. This solution was conceived when user missed an important deadline for an opportunity because of having too many time sensitive emails in my inbox. It works best with Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.
