Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for preventing battery drainage in a vehicle. The method comprises determining whether a Controller Area Network (CAN) transceiver is in an active state. Once determined, the method comprises determining whether an engine of the vehicle is in an inactive state. Once determined, the method comprises monitoring an operational state of an audio system in an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system and determining whether the monitored operational state meets one or more predefined conditions. In response to determining, initiating a first timer (T1) of a predefined duration for generating a notification for potential battery drainage. Upon expiration of the predefined duration of the first timer (T1), the method comprises dynamically configuring a second timer (T2) in real-time based on one or more parameters associated with the battery of the vehicle and cutting off power to the audio system upon expiration of the second timer (T2).
