Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for analyzing electromagnetic radiation absorption of plant leaf tissue, specifically Tectona grandis, at 2.45 GHz. The method includes measuring the complex dielectric constant using a network analyser and constructing small, medium, and large leaf phantom models at 0.1 mm and 0.5 mm thicknesses. These models are positioned 5 cm from a microstrip patch antenna in main or back lobe directions. A computational simulation tool computes the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) as a function of surface area, thickness, orientation, and dielectric constant. The computed SAR exhibits a linear relationship with surface area and an inverse relationship with thickness and dielectric constant. Figure 1 is the representative figure.
