Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR DETECTING ANTIBIOTIC RESIDUES IN MILK Disclosed herein a method (100) for detecting antibiotic residues in milk, the method comprises preparing a bacterial spore-based biosensor by immobilizing bacterial spores onto a suitable support material. The method further comprises introducing a milk sample suspected of containing antibiotic residues to the immobilized bacterial spores. Further, allowing the milk sample to interact with the immobilized bacterial spores under predetermined conditions. Further, detecting a response generated by the interaction between the bacterial spores and any antibiotic residues present in the milk sample and analyzing the detected response to determine the presence and/or concentration of antibiotic residues in the milk sample.
