Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF STARCH FILM FOR FOOD PACKAGING AND COMPOSITION THEREOF The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of starch film for food packaging and its composition. More specifically, the present invention provides a novel method for preparation of starch film for food packaging. Also, the present invention discloses a novel composition comprising starch as the primary structure, softening agent, toughener, antimicrobial agent and optional additives for improved functionality. The present invention provides a simple, efficient, low-cost, and eco-friendly starch film for food packaging.
