Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR TESTING SHEAR RESISTANCE OF A ONE-WAY CONCRETE SLAB REINFORCED WITH FIBER- REINFORCED POLYMER A method (100) for testing shear resistance of a one-way concrete slab reinforced with fiber- reinforced polymer (FRP) is disclosed. Further, the method comprising casting a one-way concrete slab specimen embedded with FRP bars as reinforcement, wherein the slab comprises a predefined dimension, material properties, and reinforcement configurations. Further, supporting the slab specimen on a testing frame to simulate one-way slab behavior under simply supported conditions. Further, applying a concentrated load or uniformly distributed load incrementally at a designated point or area until failure. Further, measuring and recording the applied load, deflection, and strain in the FRP bars using sensors and data acquisition systems. Further, determining the critical shear capacity of the slab by analyzing the load- deflection response and identifying the load at which shear failure occurs. Further,
