Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD OF FABRICATING METAL-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK (MOF) MEMBRANES ON SUBSTRATES The present disclosure relates to a method of fabricating a metal-organic framework (MOF) membrane on various substrates comprising providing a substrate of first predetermined dimension; adding a first predetermined amount of weak base and a second predetermined amount of ligand precursor in a third predetermined amount of deionized water to obtain a ligand precursor solution; adding a fourth predetermined amount of oxidizing agent into a fifth predetermined amount of deionized water; mixing said ligand precursor solution and said oxidizing agent solution in a predetermined ratio to obtain a reaction mixture; depositing a metal layer on said substrate; immersing bare metal strips or said metal-deposited substrate (AAO or GO) in said reaction mixture to obtain a MOF; and allowing a MOF to grow on the bare metal strip or said metal-deposited substrate surface to form a membrane. The present disclosure is also about an MOF membrane fabricated according to this method.
