Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method (100) of manufacturing a door hinge (200). The method (100) comprises forming each leaf (202) of the door hinge (200) from stainless steel using an investment casting process to obtain a near-net shape, wherein each leaf (202) defines a leaf plate portion (204) and at least one knuckle portion (206) having an integrally formed through-hole (208) extending along a hinge axis (x). The method (100) further comprises applying a compressive force to the leaf plate portion (204) using a press machine to straighten the leaf plate portion (204), and applying a compressive force to operative ends of the knuckle portions (206) to dimensionally correct the knuckle portions (206) to meet predetermined tolerances. The method (100) further comprises assembling a pair of leaves (202) to form the door hinge (200).
