MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073613 A) filed by Ankur Jain; and Anindita Tiwari on June 13, 2026, for A Method Of Preserving Electrochemical Cells And Battery Preservation System Therefore.

Inventor includes Ankur Jain.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD OF PRESERVING ELECTROCHEMICAL CELLS AND BATTERY PRESERVATION SYSTEM THEREFORE A method (200) of preserving electrochemical cells (104) and a battery preservation system (100) are disclosed. The method (200) comprises placing (202) one or more electrochemical cells (104) into a thermally controlled enclosure (102), maintaining (204) the electrochemical cells (104) at a preservation temperature (120) selected according to a chemistry of the electrochemical cells (104), storing and transporting (206) the electrochemical cells (104) within the enclosure (102) throughout a supply-chain period while maintaining the preservation temperature (120), and deploying (208) the electrochemical cells (104) for operational use. The battery preservation system (100) comprises an enclosure (102) configured to receive the electrochemical cells (104), a thermal management arrangement (118) configured to maintain the electrochemical cells (104) at the preservation temperature (120), and a controller (122) configured to regulate the preservation temperature (120) independently of ambient temperature conditions. The disclosed method and system reduce calendar aging and preserve electrochemical performance prior to operational use. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
