Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a steel sheet provided with a coating comprising from 3.50 to 4.10 wt.% of Al, from 1.90 to 3.20 wt.% of Mg, from 1 to 15 ppm of Bi, unavoidable impurities and optionally one or more additional elements selected from Si, Sb, Pb, Ti, Ca, Mn, Sn, La, Ce, Cr, or Zr, the weight content of each additional element in the coating being less than 0.3%, the remainder being Zn. Such a steel sheet is well suited for industrial applications requiring high corrosion resistance.
