Abstract: ABSTRACT A MICROBIAL CONSORTIUM BASED ENZYMATIC PRETREATMENT FOR BIOGAS PRODUCTION AND HIGH-PURITY LIGNIN RECOVERY The present invention is related to a microbial consortium based enzymatic pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass for biogas production and high-purity lignin recovery. The microbial consortium compires of Fusarium proliferatum, Aspergillus terreus, Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus fumigatus second strain CPSBF2506. The microbial consortium based enzymatic pretreatment for biogas production results in improved digestibility, increased methane yield and preservation of lignin quality.
