Abstract: The present invention relates to a microstrip patch antenna 100 comprising a dielectric substrate 101, a ground plane 103, a conductive radiating patch 105, an inset feed line 107, a plurality of slot formations 109, and a plurality of notch formations 111. The conductive radiating patch is geometrically configured by the slot formations and notch formations to alter surface current distribution, extend effective current path length, and provide localized electromagnetic tuning. In one embodiment, the antenna is configured to support multiple resonant modes for dual-band or multi-band operation while retaining a compact planar profile. The present invention provides technical advantages including multi-band operation, gain enhancement, bandwidth enhancement, compact size with reduced patch size, enhanced impedance matching, and improved radiation efficiency. The disclosed antenna structure is particularly suitable for applications requiring compact, efficient, and high-performance wireless communication and RF energy harvesting configurations. FIG.1B
