MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421083368 A) filed by Resolve Biotech Pvt. Ltd. on October 30, 2024, for A Modular Multi-Array Bioreactor And Cultivation System For Optimized Hypercellular Fermentation.

Inventors include Khanna, Ram; and Doshi, Harsh.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A REUSABLE MODULAR MULTI-ARRAY FLASK-BASED BIOREACTOR AND CULTIVATION SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZED HYPERCELLULAR FERMENTATION. The invention relates to a modular multi-array bioreactor and cultivation system for optimizing hypercellular fermentation through parallel experimentation, real-time monitoring, and adaptive control. The system employs reusable, autoclavable shaker-flask vessels with orbital agitation, replacing single-use impeller reactors. Each bioreactor unit operates independently with integrated sensors and actuators regulating temperature, pH, and nutrient feed under a central controller executing intelligent algorithms for data-driven optimization. A conditional pooling manifold selectively combines outputs from units meeting defined optical-density, metabolite, or growth-phase thresholds. In another embodiment, a compact table-top bioreactor integrates the same control architecture within a single housing for plug-and-play laboratory or pilot-scale use. The invention provides scalable, sustainable, and reproducible fermentation, achieving higher yields, lower resource consumption, and improved process fidelity compared with conventional stirred or single-use systems.
