Abstract: A multi-directional positioning apparatus for a neonatal support platform is disclosed, facilitating immediate postnatal care and proximity to the mother while maintaining cord integrity. The apparatus utilizes a base frame connected to a first rotary joint and a second rotary joint, enabling 360-degree platform rotation. A single-action lever mechanism simultaneously locks and unlocks both joints. The mechanism includes a lever controlling a connecting link lifter. The lifter is configured for sequential disengagement: it first disengages a first locking member for the second joint, and subsequently lifts a connecting link (second locking member) to disengage a second locking member for the first joint. A spring-loaded system ensures automatic re-engagement. The locking members engage respective teethed profiles which may incorporate tapered profiles for enhanced rigidity. The lever can be concealed or integrate a snap-lock feature for hands-free adjustment.
