Abstract: [046] The present invention discloses a multi-level inverter system with intelligent fault-tolerant control for electric vehicle drive applications, wherein real-time monitoring, fault detection, and dynamic inverter reconfiguration are employed to ensure continuous and reliable traction motor operation under inverter fault conditions. The system isolates faulty inverter components and adapts the switching strategy to operate in a reduced-level mode while maintaining stable torque, low harmonic distortion, and improved safety. The proposed invention minimizes hardware redundancy through software-based control, enhances system reliability, and is scalable for advanced and high-power electric vehicle propulsion systems.
