MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511092647 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on September 26, 2025, for A Multimodal Electrochemical Measurement System For Energy Storage Devices.

Inventors include Madhusudan Singh; Meet Parmar; and Tejveer Singh Anand.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system and method for electrochemical characterization of an energy storage device. The system comprises a microcontroller configured to generate a digital setpoint command corresponding to a selected operating mode from a plurality of predefined operating modes including at least a potentiostatic mode and a galvanostatic mode. The digital setpoint command is converted by a DAC into an analog setpoint signal. A control block selects, according to the selected operating mode, either a voltage-feedback signal representative of a voltage of the energy storage device or a current-feedback signal representative of a current flowing through the energy storage device, and generates a corrected excitation signal configured to minimize a difference between the analog setpoint signal and the selected feedback signal. One or more ADCs convert voltage and current signals produced in response to the corrected excitation signal into digital measurement data for characterizing the energy storage device. [Figure 1]
