Abstract: Disclosed nano-ceramic coating composition comprises a hybrid siloxane-resin binder phase in an amount of 40 wt% to 60 wt%. The hybrid siloxane-resin binder phase comprises 15 wt% to 30 wt% of a hydrolysed alkoxysilane precursor, 25 wt% to 35 wt% of a functional organosilane precursor, and 35 wt% to 60 wt% of a film-forming resin. The composition further comprises a plurality of halo-protected healing microcapsules in an amount of 6 wt% to 15 wt%. The composition further comprises a platelet nano-barrier filler in an amount of 1 wt% to 4 wt%. The composition further comprises a thixotropic rheology modifier in an amount of 0.5 wt% to 2.5 wt%. The composition further comprises a volatile solvent phase in an amount of 15 wt% to 35 wt%.
