MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075782 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu on June 18, 2026, for A Nanocomposite-Based Sensor And A Method Of Fabrication Thereof.

Inventors include Pranjal Chandra; Sumit Kumar Singh; and Ankur Singh.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a robust and efficient nanocomposite-based sensor and a facile, cost-effective and scalable method of fabrication of the same. The nanocomposite-based sensor exhibits high surface area, that is capable of accommodating dense biorecognition sites. Further, the nanocomposite-based sensor is obtained by combining controlled bimetallic architecture with a two-dimensional conductive matrix, enabling dual-metal electrochemical signatures, improved signal clarity, and reduced background noise. In addition, the nanocomposite-based sensor provides enhanced conductivity, and electrochemical performance for faster and sensitive detection of biomolecules, thereby supporting the development of advanced diagnostic technologies through smooth adoption by diagnostic laboratories and industrial users.
