The formulation utilizes coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum) as the primary component, combined with nutritionally rich ingredients including cow ghee, jaggery, edible gum (gond), makhana, coconut powder, cardamom, ginger powder, black pepper powder, carom seeds, and dry fruits. The preparation process involves roasting coriander seeds at low temperature, grinding them into powder, frying edible gum in cow ghee, roasting makhana, and preparing a jaggery syrup, followed by mixing all herbal and nutritional components to form a uniform mixture that is spread, cooled, and cut into barfi pieces. The developed product represents a nutrient-dense functional confectionery derived from traditional dietary knowledge. The selected ingredients are traditionally recognized for their digestive, antioxidant, and nutritional properties and are commonly included in postpartum diets. The formulation may serve as a supportive dietary preparation for lactating mothers, providing energy, natural galactagogue ingredients, and essential nutrients. Additionally, the product offers a healthier alternative to conventional sweets, as it is prepared using natural sweeteners and contains no artificial flavors, preservatives, or refined sugar.
