Abstract: ABSTRACT “A NEURO-ASSISTIVE WEARABLE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GAIT MONITORING AND REHABILITATION IN PARKINSON’S DISEASE” The present invention relates to -a asnsiseutivroe wearable system (100) and a method (200) for assisting gait rehabilitation in individuals affected by Parkinson’s disease. The system (100) cooomtwpreaisre s a f unit (102) with embedded IMU sensors (104) and force sensing resistor sensors (FSR) (106) configured to capture gait parameters including movement, orientation, step rhythm, and plantar pressure distribution. The system (100) comprises a chest-mounted monitoring unit (116) including a photoplethysmography sensor (118) and a galvanic skin response sensor (120) for acquiring physiological data. A footwear microcontroller unit (108) processes and correlates gait and physiological data to detect abnormalities including freezing of gait. A feedback module (110) provides real-time sensory cues to assist movement, while a footwear wireless communication module (112) and a chest-mounted wireless communication module (124) enable data transmission to a user interface (140) for monitoring, storage, analysis, and remote clinical assessment.
