MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611068538 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu on May 30, 2026, for A Non-Isolated Multi-Output Hybrid Converter.
Inventors include Rajeev Kumar Singh; Rajat Kumar Keshari; and Prakhar Nema.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a non-isolated multi-output hybrid converter (100) comprising impedance network having inductors, capacitors (C1 and C2), and diodes configured to perform voltage boosting and energy transfer through controlled charge and discharge cycles, a shoot-through switch to enable shoot-through operation for storing energy in the impedance network and boosting a DC-link voltage, a DC-link stage configured to maintain regulated DC output, an inverter stage comprising power semiconductor switches configured to convert DC-link voltage into AC output using pulse-width modulation control, filter elements configured to smooth output current and voltage supplied to AC load (02) or utility grid, a controller to operate the converter in shoot-through and non-shoot-through modes, generate coordinated pulse-width modulation signals for simultaneous AC and DC power delivery, regulate AC and DC outputs independently, and minimize leakage current caused by parasitic capacitance between the photovoltaic source (01) and ground by controlling common-mode voltage variation.
