MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641123957 A) filed by Rk. Premeela on October 16, 2026, for A Novel Chemical Compound Against Receptor Tyrosine-Protien Kinase Erbb-2 (erbb2) For Ovarian Cancer.
Inventors include Rk. Premeela; and Dr. S. Deepa Rani.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: This invention presents a new chemical framework intended for specific anti-cancer effects through the use of sophisticated in silico methods. The molecule was created using a blend of computer-aided drug design (CADD) and drug repurposing methods, with its development, forecasting, and assessment completely automated. To assess its therapeutic potential, the compound was subjected to thorough pharmacokinetic assessment, comprising quantitative structure—activity relationship (QSAR) modeling and absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity (ADMET) profiling. Upon establishing a positive pharmacological similarity score, the molecule was directed towards the oncogenic protein ERBB2. Protein profiling was performed utilizing the ERBB2 sequence, and an automated molecular docking method was employed on the particular domain area. The obtained docking results indicate that this suggested chemical structure effectively attaches within the functional domain areas of ERBB2, underscoring its promise as a potent anti-cancer compound. Keywords: ERBB2, Ovarian cancer, In-silico Modeling, Molecular Docking.
