Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel polymeric spray formulation designated as C- HerbalDerm-Regen developed for topical management of chronic diabetic ulcers. The formulation comprises an aqueous leaf extract of Mimosa pudica integrated into a chitosanalginate polyelectrolyte complex along with pharmaceutically acceptable stabilizing and viscosity-modifying agents. The ionic interaction between chitosan and alginate results in formation of a structured polymeric network that regulates sustained release of plant-derived bioactive constituents. The developed spray demonstrates antioxidant potential, antimicrobial activity against wound- associated pathogens, and cytocompatibility with mammalian skin cell lines under in vitro conditions. The spray-based delivery format ensures uniform coverage and supports maintenance of a moist wound microenvironment. The invention provides a stable, scalable, and rton-invasive therapeutic platform suitable for chronic diabetic ulcer repair.
