Inventors include Dr. Bhalchandra M. Bhanage; Dr. Dewal Deshmukh; and Dr. Shivkumar Chaurasia.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: Title: A novel synthesis process of quinazolinone-fused phenanthridinones The invention relates to synthesis of only one regioisomer of quinazolinone-fused phenanthridinones preferably of 14H-quinazolino[3,2-f]phenanthridin-14-one compound from the precursor, 2-arylquinazolinones derivative of the formula (A) with equivalent arene derivative of the formula (B) in effective ratio of 1:30, using palladium (Pd) as catalyst and K2S2O8 as an oxidant using a one-pot reaction to obtain final 14H-quinazolino[3,2-f]phenanthridin-14-one compound, evaluated from physical characteristics, and characterized using, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy confirms the stability of the compound. These are valuable compounds with potential applications in organic electroluminescent materials.
