Abstract: Disclosed is a nutricosmetic face-pack formulation comprising characterized termite mound soil containing bioactive secondary metabolites for topical skincare applications. The formulation comprises termite mound soil containing vincamine, linoleic acid, myricetin-3-O-hexoside, and fragilin, identified through phytochemical screening, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, and liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. The formulation further comprises Carbopol 974P as a gelling agent, Span 20 as an emulsifying agent, polyethylene glycol as a penetration-enhancing agent, liquid paraffin as an emollient, ethanol as a solvent, methyl paraben and propyl paraben as preservatives, and purified water as a vehicle. An aqueous phase comprising the characterized soil and associated excipients is combined with an oil phase comprising Span 20 and liquid paraffin under magnetic stirring after separate heating. The resulting mixture is cooled and triturated to obtain a homogeneous emulgel- based face-pack formulation exhibiting approximately neutral pH, excellent consistency, good spreadability, excellent extrudability, washability, and absence of grittiness for topical cosmetic application.
