MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441101888 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France on December 23, 2024, for A Packaging Article Based On Cardboard Composite For Glass Transportation.
Inventors include Vigneshkumar Asokan; and Robin C Jayaram.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: Discloses herein is a packaging article (310, 311, 312, 313) for packaging and transportation of the glass and glass articles. The packaging article (310, 311, 312, 313) comprises plurality of modular units in multiple dimensions adapted to form a packaging unit and each modular unit comprises a corrugated sheet (200) provided with at least one kind of natural fibre for stiffness. The corrugated sheet (200) includes fluted layer; said natural fibre layer being incorporated in the corrugated sheet as a composite. This corrugated sheet is further configured to have an environmental protection layer that can be moisture resistant, termite/mite resistant, anti-microbial resistance or dust resistant. The disclosed solution is 100% sustainable packaging and this could be achieved using cardboard composite box which is completely circular, re-usable, ease of use and maintenance.
