The portable waste collection system (100) comprises a waste receptacle (110) configured to receive and retain waste, a support frame (120) configured to detachably retain and support the waste receptacle (110), a guide assembly (130) operatively associated with the support frame (120) to facilitate controlled translational movement of the waste receptacle (110) relative to the support structure (160), a mounting assembly (140) configured to secure the guide assembly (130) to the support structure (160), and a holder strap (150) associated with the waste receptacle (110) to facilitate transportation thereof. The waste receptacle (110) is selectively removable from the support frame (120) without dismantling the guide assembly (130), thereby facilitating emptying, cleaning, maintenance, transportation, and replacement. The portable waste collection system (100) improves accessibility, hygiene, and convenience for waste disposal in residential, healthcare, institutional, rehabilitation, and related environments.
