Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable medical device (1) for arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders. The device comprises a wearable housing (1a) adapted to be removably secured over an affected body region, a control unit (11) including a microcontroller (12), and a stimulation module (21) configured to selectively provide Interferential Therapy (IFT), Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Shortwave Diathermy (SWD). The device further comprises sensing modules including a temperature sensor (13), an impedance sensor (14) and a contact sensor (15) configured to monitor operational conditions and generate sensing data. Based on the sensing data, the control unit (11) determines stimulation parameters and regulates stimulation delivery. The device further includes a user interface module (31), a power module (41), a communication module (51) for transmitting operational information to external devices, and a data storage module (61) for storing operational information.
