Abstract: The invention relates to distributed computing and millimeter-wave wireless networking, and discloses a portable millimeter-wave central node system comprising a portable central node apparatus having a resource aggregation processor, a millimeter-wave transceiver module, a phased antenna array, non-volatile storage, and preferably a secure hardware element. The resource aggregation processor broadcasts a discovery beacon, securely onboards heterogeneous participant devices, and deploys platform-specific driver packages including an operating-system abstraction layer, a resource virtualization engine, and an execution substrate, thereby configuring the devices as managed compute nodes. Normalized resource descriptors are collected to compute device capability indices, after which workloads are decomposed into dependency-aware tasks or portable task containers and assigned using communication-cost and link-quality metrics for beamformed 60 GHz and 28 GHz links. Execution occurs in isolated environments, with telemetry-driven task reassignment, checkpointing, memory aggregation, migration, or cleanup upon link variation or node departure.
