Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable neonatal incubator system comprising an insulated enclosure with a transparent canopy for housing an infant, a plurality of thermoelectric modules arranged in multiple thermal zones, distributed temperature and humidity sensors, a plurality of microcontrollers acting as swarm agents, a central reliability manager (CRM), and a power management system operable on grid, battery, or solar power, wherein each swarm agent performs local control of a corresponding thermoelectric module and communicates with other agents to maintain uniform conditions, and wherein each thermoelectric module provides bidirectional heating and cooling, and the CRM assigns reliability scores to sensors and actuators, excludes unreliable data below a predefined threshold, detects failures, and redistributes thermal load among functional zones, while optimizing energy consumption and enabling automatic switching between normal, power-save, and emergency modes, thereby maintaining temperature and humidity within safe neonatal ranges for portable and resource-limited applications.
