MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073506 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on June 12, 2026, for A Precision Powder Mixing Apparatus For Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing.
Inventors include Dr. Gaurav Sharma; and Dr. Ritu M Gilhotra.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A precision powder mixing apparatus (100) for pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing comprises a mixing chamber (102), a multi-axis mixing assembly (106), a drive motor (114), a sensor module (118), a controller unit (128), and a discharge valve assembly (134). The apparatus employs secondary mixing blades (110) and turbulence-generating fins (112) to achieve multidirectional powder movement. Real-time monitoring through a homogeneity sensor (120), torque sensor (122), temperature sensor (124), and humidity sensor (126) enables automated process optimization. The invention improves blend uniformity, reduces segregation, minimizes contamination risks, lowers energy consumption, and enhances pharmaceutical manufacturing consistency.
