The image sensor (102) captures visual frames within a surveillance zone. The privacy masking unit (104) masks identifiable personal imagery to generate masked visual frames before event feature extraction. The edge event extraction processor (106) retrieves configuration data from the zone configuration memory (112), detects physical events from the masked visual frames, and supplies event information to the event-token generator (108). The event-token generator (108) generates a structured event token without raw visual frame data. The communication interface (110) transmits the event token to an external user device while suppressing video transmission, and the tamper detection unit (114) supports tamper event-token generation.
