The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparation of a micro-alloyed steel composition and a product thereof. The process of the present invention involves the controlled additions of vanadium, niobium, and nitrogen together with a specific thermal schedule comprising of austenitization at optimized temperature range, controlled cooling at a rate of approximately 15–20°C/s and intermediate-temperature isothermal holding and promotion of controlled interphase precipitation that collectively result in a refined ferritic microstructure containing nanoscale V(C,N)/Nb(C,N) precipitates, thereby achieving a favorable combination of yield strength and low-temperature toughness in heavy-gauge structural thick steel plates having thickness 50–100 mm.
