Abstract: “A PROCESS FOR PREPARING LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDE AS ELECTRODE MATERIAL, ITS APPLICATION IN SUPERCAPACITOR DEVICE” Disclosed is an electrodeposition process for preparing tertiary metallic layered double hydroxide (LDH) as electrode material comprising the steps: preparing a mixture of three metallic liquid having pH 2.5–3.5 first metallic liquid containing magnesium (Mg), second metallic liquid containing zinc (Zn) and third metallic liquid containing ferric (Fe); adjusting pH of the liquid mixture as obtained in step (i) to 5.0-5.5 by adding an alkali and followed by stirring at room temperature in order to obtain homogeneous liquid; providing a polished washed ultrasonically treated stainless substrate and washed and ultrasonically treated graphite rod; placing the stainless-steel substrate and the graphite rod into the liquid as obtained in step (ii) for electrodeposition technique under stirring employing a magnetic stirrer in order to obtain a film having hexagonal nanosheet like structure.
